“The Adventures of Eddie, The Moving Monkey” is not just a children’s picture book; it is my pay-it-forward story, and I can’t think of a better time to release it than today, a time in which millions of kids around the world are being forcefully displaced, migrating away from their homes and all they know. The story revolves around Eddie, a charming stuffed monkey, who arrived at Sofia’s house on her last day of school when she felt her life had been turned upside down, packed into boxes, and ready to be shipped to Arizona. Eddie came with a book narrating his last moving adventure with Alan, a character whom Sofia will meet later in the story. Through Eddie’s adventures, kids can learn to cope with the challenges of relocating and discover that moving can be the best thing that ever happened to them and love their new home as I did, and then pay it forward.
